Retreat Guidelines

  1. To encourage a focus on health, smoking is permitted only in specific public-areas of the retreat. Smoking is permitted also on the balcony/ veranda of guest villas.
     
  2. To encourage a peaceful environment, the use of mobile phones is allowed in the privacy of guest villas and at designated “phone zones”. The discrete use of SMS and tablets are permitted throughout the retreat; while lap-top computers may be used in the Club House and guest villas.
     
  3. The cuisine offers Javanese-fusion flavors, with a healthy emphasis. Using local and organic produce; nutritious, unprocessed foods; healthy cooking techniques; fish and a limited use of meat from ecologically responsible farmers.
     
  4. Alcoholic beverages are restricted to wine and champagne available after 5pm; fresh juices, tea and mineral water are served as a replacement for soft drinks. On special occasions other beverages may be available.
     
  5. Many guests stay at MesaStila to enjoy the relaxation and harmony of this retreat. Therefore, we request close parental guidance and support to ensure a calming and restful environment, where children of all ages are welcome.
     
  6. Only food and beverage provided by the retreat may be consumed within the retreat.
     
  7. For comfort, guests are encouraged to wear relaxing yoga attire or bathrobes provided in each villa.
     
  8. Guests are urged to participate in compulsory activities defined in each retreat.
     
  9. For guests participating in a wellness retreat it is a requirement that “pre-arrival forms” are completed and sent to the retreat upon confirmation of booking.
     
  10. To provide a tranquil environment, televisions are available in villas and can be connected upon request. A library is also available for guests to read
